We are thrilled to welcome the artwork of Hayden Kays to the StolenSpace walls for our upcoming show ‘Write and Repeat,’ opening TONIGHT! 22 February 2012.  If you haven’t heard of him yet, then here is a quick low down to catch you up to speed:

Hayden Kays has taken the art world by storm, hailed by the Independent as one of “a new generation of Pop artists.” It is no wonder that Kays is the toast of London’s fashionable and famous, recently collected by likes of Harry Styles. Amongst his many attributes, Kays is regarded as one of the most quirky and exciting young talents on the scene, known for his tongue-in-cheek social commentary and irreverent attitude towards the conventions of art making.  From simple phrases accompanying everyday objects to elaborate, intricate handmade works, Kays does it all with a rebellious spirit and a wicked sense of humor.

Kays has also embarked upon a new endeavor with friend and front man, Johnny Lloyd of Tribes. ‘A Journey Through the Heart of a Pig’ is a limited edition novella written by Lloyd and illustrated by Kays.  This amazing project has led the two to form a publishing label called ‘Dirty Witness.’  The incredible collaboration will reach the public next Thursday, on the 28th of February when the book is released.  Stay tuned for more news about Hayden, and be sure not to miss his fantastic work in ‘Write & Repeat.’
